Foldable Bike Travel Bag Guide

Traveling with your bike shouldn’t be complicated. That’s why we created Abimbola – a custom-made, foldable travel bike bag built to fit your bike and your travel needs. Here’s what to know so you can choose the right style and order a bag that’s ready for your next trip.

Why Choose an Abimbola Bike Travel Bag?

Abimbola bags are made to fit your bike’s exact measurements – frame size, saddle height, handlebar width, and more. They’re made from tough, weatherproof ripstop fabric with low-key reflective details for visibility. Whether you’re taking a train, a long-distance bus, or packing the car, your bike stays safe, secure, and easy to carry.

To pack your bike, simply remove both wheels and slide the frame into the bag. The entire packing and unpacking process takes just 3–5 minutes.

Important:

Our bags are not intended for air travel. They do not have internal padding, so we can’t guarantee protection in airplane cargo holds, even though some riders have used them successfully.

How to Measure Your Bike

Getting your measurements right ensures your bag fits perfectly:

bike frame measurements

Remove the wheels and place your bike on the ground.

measuring bike frame height

Vertical measurement: From the topmost point (usually the saddle) straight down to the lowest point (typically the big chainring touching the ground).

measuring bike frame width

Horizontal measurement: From the end of your handlebars (rotated 90 degrees) to the furthest point of the rear dropout.

Be precise—exact measurements make the perfect fit!

Ordering is Easy

Once you’ve measured your bike:

  • Ensure that you record the exact measurements without adding or omitting any centimeters. This will help us tailor a travel bag that fits your bicycle precisely.
  • Provide these measurements when placing your order (in the “Note” section during checkout).
  • Expect your custom bag to arrive in approximately 1–10 days, shipped via a reliable courier with tracking.
